I am pleased to announce the opening of a brand new online store called "Cayuga Concepts".Cayuga Concepts specializes in the making of Native American handmade crafts mainly a craft called the DreamCatcher.
First off I would like you to know that all the members at Cayuga Concepts are full blooded Native Americans, Iroquois peoples from the Cayuga nation and members from the clans of turtle and wolf, from the Six Nations reserve in southern Ontario Canada.
Our mission here at Cayuga Concepts is simple; to bring awareness to our cultural heritage and crafts. Through that awareness we will bring to you Native American information and facts about our people and all 1st Nations people across North America.
We plan to bring only truly authentic Native American crafts to our Etsy store, a feat that only a very select few can say that sell Native American craft DreamCatchers on Etsy. Its not hard to find a DreamCatchers when you get to Etsy for there are 1000 of them from all over the world! The only problem is that only a small percentage of those DreamCatchers are in fact authentic. From what I saw on Etsy there are only less that 1/4 of all DreamCatchers on Etsy are Authentic Native American DreamCatchers made by status Native American. To top it all off a lot of their store had the story of the DreamCatchers wrong or did not even know the story!
After seeing that we are determined to bring our crafts to the people, crafts that we have been making all of our lives and our people have been making for thousands of years. We are also going to bring true stories and legends of our Native past, stories we heard since we were very young.
I hope you enjoy our online store and help it grow as our presence grows online. We will have weekly blogs with different topics relating to Native Americans past, present and future, and will be introducing new products steadily at our store so keep your eyes on it and thank - you very much for your time!
